To help nurture the dreams and hopes of
students,
KOSAF has been working hard to provide more
substantial benefits to students, by putting itself
in their shoes.
Established under the national goal that anyone
who has the will and capability to study
regardless of their financial situation should have
the opportunity to do so, KOSAF
Introduced a direct loan system by issuing bonds
from the 2ndsemester of 2009, which helped
KOSAF to cut down the interest rate on its
student loans in the range of 7% to 5.8%.
KOSAF has helped students to balance their
budgets, and consulted with students about their
financial needs.
KOSAF has also provided interest-free loan to
college students from agricultural and fishery
areas,
enabling anyone, regardless of where they come
from, to pursue higher education anywhere in
Korea.
In particular, under the new ‘Income Contingent
Loan Scheme’ that was launched in the
1stsemester of 2010, KOSAF has enabled
students to focus on their study by granting full
student loans subsidized by the government,
which then can be paid back in accordance with
their income level, when the students get a job
or start their professional career and start making
a living after graduation.

preventing students from becoming delinquent
borrowers because of tuition loans.

as global talents, KOSAF has selected students
as beneficiaries for Presidential science
scholarship, National scholarship, and National
research fellowship.
KOSAF solidifies the client-oriented management
structure.
KOSAF is planning to provide a customized one-
stop service that will offer integrated information
on the diverse scholarships available, from
domestic and overseas sources, national/private
scholarships and student loans all at the same
time, to help students get the information they
need.
Working out of passion and sense of duty,
KOSAF wants to become the best service
institute for customers‘satisfaction.

Korea’s future hinges on talent cultivation.
KOSAF is systematically working to support
global talent cultivation.
With the purpose of helping national scholarship
recipients make a social contribution and foster
their patriotism, KOSAF is planning a mentoring
program between national scholarship recipients
and social/public figures like CEO’s in different
fields and professors and a knowledge volunteer
program of excellent students for national
scholarships by entering into agreements with
major universities.
In addition, to support global talent cultivation,
from a spirit of sharing with less-fortunate
countries, KOSAF is now planning to provide
scholarship to students in the 3rdworld, and to
provide an environment in which students can
fully immerse themselves in their studies through
expansion of welfare facilities, including dorms.
To help the projects to support talent cultivation
run smoothly, KOSAF will expand the culture of
donation in many different ways, and help more
students to spread the wings of their dreams.
