Governance

The Executive Board, advised by several executive committees, oversees KOSAF’s activities. It is responsible for key strategies to realize its mission, vision and values.

STAFF

The KOSAF workforce numbers at about 513 employees and contract workers at its main office in Daegu and branch office in Seoul, Korea. This number increases during the peak student aid application seasons, during which KOSAF employs short-term employees—many of whom include postsecondary students in Korea who are looking for summer jobs. The foundation primarily employs managerial, professional, technical, and service staff.

Employees at KOSAF work together to serve students, partners, supporters, and donors. Purposeful and consistent efforts are made to deliver valuable programs in a manner that is transparent, fair, and characterized by open communication.

Organization
KOSAF is organized into departments by primary areas of responsibility. The Chairman oversees all of the affairs of the foundation and its employees. In addition, the the executive directors and the managing director supervise a set of departments under each Bureau. Audit is managed separately by the Auditor.

Leadership
The leadership of KOSAF consists of executive staff and a board of directors. A number of committees advise the foundation. Executive directors and board members (numbering at a maximum of 15, including the Chairman, according to the Act and Enforcement Decree by which the foundation was established) are appointed to KOSAF.
